Cookies Policy
1. Introduction
This Cookies Policy explains how Traclet (the platform operated by Trac Homes, Ltd., “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and web apps that link to this policy.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Effective date: 18 May 2026.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage in your browser) where they help run the service — for example to remember your cookie choices.
3. Types of technologies we use
Strictly necessary
Required so Traclet can operate securely and reliably. This includes:
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication cookies | Issued by our Traclet API servers when you sign in — for example session or refresh handling, fraud prevention, and keeping you logged in. Exact names and lifetimes may vary by environment and product updates. | Session or as set by our API (often limited and rotated) |
| OAuth / sign-in flows | When you use Google to sign in, Google may set or read cookies on Google’s own domains as part of that flow. We do not control those cookies. | Per Google’s policies |
Without these, sign-in and core features may not work.
Functional (optional — only if you allow “Functional”)
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sidebar_state (first-party cookie) |
Remembers whether certain dashboard sidebars are expanded or collapsed so the layout stays consistent. Set on our domain with path=/. |
7 days |
Analytics (optional — only if you allow “Analytics”)
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| First-party analytics | If we enable usage measurement, we use our own infrastructure (private servers) to collect aggregate statistics such as page views and performance signals. We load or activate this only when you have opted in to Analytics. | As configured for our environment (often session-scoped or short-lived first-party cookies). |
Marketing (optional — only if you allow “Marketing”)
Traclet does not load third-party advertising or social “pixels” for re-targeting in the current web application by default. If you turn Marketing on, we may in future enable measurement partners in line with this policy; we will update this policy and, where required, prompt you again via our cookie banner (consent version bump).
4. Cookie choices storage (local storage)
Your consent choices for optional categories are stored in the browser under the key traclet-cookie-consent (local storage on our domain, managed by our app). This is not a cookie but is used for the same UX purpose as remembering your preferences. You can clear it via browser settings; you may see the consent banner again afterward.
5. Third parties that may be involved
Depending on features you use, these providers may process data (including via cookies on their domains):
| Provider | Typical use in Traclet | Further reading |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in (OAuth); interactive maps when the product is configured to use Google Maps. | Google: How we use cookies | |
| Mapbox | Interactive maps when the product is configured to use Mapbox. | Mapbox legal / cookies |
6. Your choices
- Use Cookie preferences in the site footer or on this page to accept, reject non-essential cookies, or customize by category.
- You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; doing so may affect sign-in, maps, or layout preferences.
7. Updates
We may update this policy when we add features, vendors, or legal requirements. When a material change requires it, we will increase our cookie policy / consent version so you may see the banner again.
